Biography

Ben is an Engineering Scientist in the Space and Geophysics Laboratory, of Applied Research Laboratories, The University of Texas at Austin. He is also a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics.

Ben was born in Dallas, Texas in 1970. In 1995 he met Adria Loya, whom he married in 1997. They have two children, Amanda and Kayla Harris. 

As an advocate of open source, Ben has started or helps lead a number of such projects :
